Art On The Brain

This exhibition includes Come Fly With Me, a multimedia group installation featuring over 100 birds, created as a symbols of journey, odyssey, resilience, and transformation. Continue to explore by joining ornithologist and debut novelist Deborah M. Buehler and BIST artists for a talk, Come Fly With Me - Exploring the Representation of Birds In Art and Art Walk. Her novel, "Tiaris When the Oceans Kissed" draws on her academic expertise to reimagine the building of the Panama Canal through the eyes of a time travelling teenager. Engage in conversation about the enduring power of birds as symbols of freedom and transformation, and discuss why we continue to be drawn to these creatures in times of change and healing. After the talk, enjoy a short break followed by an optional bird walk on the Cedar Ridge grounds.
